Who can enter?
Amateur brewers who are 21 years or older.
How much is the entry fee?
There is no fee for entering the Battle of the Iron Homebrews!
What styles are allowed in the competition?
This competition is open to the following Styles: #6 Light Hybrid Beer, #8 English Pale Ale, #10 American Ale, #12 Porter, #13 Stout, #14 India Pale Ale (IPA), #15 German Wheat & Rye Beer, #19 Strong Ale and #23 Specialty Beer. The Specialty Beer must contain the “secret ingredient” of Chocolate.
How many time can I enter?
Only one entry is allowed per person per sub category.
How many bottles and oz. do I need to submit?
Two (2) bottles, minimum of 10 oz. each, must be submitted for each entry.
Will the public be able to taste my homebrew?
No, homebrew tastings will not be available to the public. The empty bottles and will be displayed at the event along with information on the brewer.
When will judging take place and can I attend?
The judging process is closed to the public and will take place 1 week prior to the event.
When will we find out who the winners are?
At the award ceremony on Sunday, June 24th, between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Winners will also be announced on the website following the event.
