Robbie DaCosta Trio Sunday, 11:40 - 1:40 pm
Entertainment — not just music — is what Robbie Dacosta strives for. The Ashland guitarist, Robbie Dacosta, and his stellar band mates, Tom Stamper (drums) and Jeff Addicott (bass), have taken their place among the region's most prominent musicians. The 36-year-old singer who heads up the Robbie Dacosta Trio has a library of music in his head and a powerful amount of charisma on the microphone. When DaCosta says he plays everything, he's not exaggerating. The band's sets encompass rockabilly, R&B, country, folk, blues, funk and, on rare occasions, reggae and jazz standards. www.robbiedacosta.com
Ben Rice Band Sunday, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
The Ben Rice Trio has been described by outsiders as Rockabilly, Swamp Rock, and Soul infused Country. Ben himself says the band’s music is the kitchen sink of Blues mixed with his band mate’s influences of Punk, Hip-Hop, and Classic Rock. Their sound is molded by the instruments they yield. Ben playing a dobro, lap steel, and the infamous cigar box guitar. While his brother and bassist Tommy Rice plays a large bodied upright bass. These throwback and vintage voiced instruments are supported by Ryan Rustrum’s big drum sound that creates a fresh yet true to its heritage sound. www.benricelive.com
